Juana "Jane" Teresa Montoro Prawicki
March 3, 1907-July 23, 2010

Motherly to many and a friend to all. Jane had a full and rich 103 years and was loved by everyone whose life she touched. Jane lived proudly in her own home until she passed into heaven.

Jane was born in Baeza, Jaen, Spain on March 3, 1907. Her family immigrated to Hawaii from Spain in 1914 to work in the sugar cane fields. Throughout her life she was fond of sharing her many memories of growing up in the Islands including singing the Hawaiian songs she learned in grade school. Later, they sailed to San Francisco where she lived the rest of her life. She enjoyed cooking for her family, spending time with her Grandchildren and her many trips to the "Old Country" with Stan.

She was widowed in 2007 when Stanley, the love of her life for over 60 years, passed. She leaves a son, Manuel Castro and his wife Ferne; daughter, Victoria and her husband Bob Evans; daughter Katherine and her husband John Fehrn; a brother, Frank Montoro; a brother-in-law Walter Henry Prawicki; grandchildren David, Michael, Christine, Steven, Kenneth, Mark, Thomas, Rose and many great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. The family would like to express our great appreciation to her loving caregivers, Sina and Gwen, who helped care for her over the last 3 years.
