MARCY "PURING" GUNDAYAO passed away peacefully on 27th July, 2010 in the presence of the Lord and her family members. She was survived by her children, Edward, Alfredo Sr, Norma, Alfonso Jr, Teresita, Ira, Bernadette and Chris Romeo, sons-in-law, Bob Sr, Rene, Victor, daughters-in-law, Virginia, Teresita, grandchildren, Catherine, Dennis, Jun Jun, Joel, Marvin, Marlyn, Alfredo Jr, Bob Jr, Charlie, Mark, Michelle, Richard, Kim, Nicole, Mark, Fanny, Nica, Juan Paolo, Jeffrey, Marlon, Ann, Jay, Erwin, Jill, Jerwin and Jayson.
Marcy was born in the province of Pampanga, Philippines. She immigrated to the United States more than 30 years ago, briefly staying in Guam before moving to South San Francisco.
Marcy was a caring mother and a doting grandmother to her many grandchildren. She imparted the importance of education to her family. Her sweet smile, strong determination, and "never give up" attitude will definitely be missed by her family.
Let us pray for the eternal repose of her soul and offer our deepest sympathy to her bereaved family. May she rest in peace.
Friends may visit Friday, July 30th, 2010 from 4:00pm - 9:00pm at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on St. Veronica Catholic Church, 434 - Alda Way., South San Francisco; Interment Cypress Lawn Cemetery.
